President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday officially nominated Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) subject to Senate confirmation, making good on a promise he made when Kennedy joined forces with the campaign.
“I am thrilled to announce Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as The United States Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health,” Trump said in a post on X.
“The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming Health Crisis in this Country,” he added.
Trump said Kennedy will restore these health agencies to the “traditions of gold standard scientific research” and will be “beacons of transparency.” Kennedy will also focus on ending the chronic disease epidemic to “Make America Healthy Again.”
In a response post on X, Kennedy thanked Trump and said he’s committed to advancing the MAHA vision.
“We have a generational opportunity to bring together the greatest minds in science, medicine, industry, and government to put an end to the chronic disease epidemic. I look forward to working with the more than 80,000 employees at HHS to free the agencies from the smothering cloud of corporate capture so they can pursue their mission to make Americans once again the healthiest people on Earth,” Kennedy said.
“Together, we will clean up corruption, stop the revolving door between industry and government, and return our health agencies to their rich tradition of gold-standard, evidence-based science. I will provide Americans with transparency and access to all the data so they can make informed choices for themselves and their families. My commitment to the American people is to be an honest public servant. Let’s go!”
Praise from Trump supporters and independents alike has been pouring in as Trump makes good on his commitment to give Kennedy a position within his administration. As secretary of HHS, Kennedy would be over the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and National Institutes of Health, among others.
Meanwhile, liberal democrats and pharmaceutical companies brace for a healthier nation and tanking investments as the swamp braces for drainage.
According to YAHOO News, some FDA staff members are considering a quick exit as Kennedy braces to become their boss, according to three former and one current government official granted anonymity to speak freely about the issue.
Kennedy, a long-time critic of the FDA, is expected to bring a much-needed and significant shift to the agency’s approach to health and public safety. A wave of potential resignations highlights growing discomfort among FDA employees who will no longer be able to collect a salary while parroting dangerous health misinformation that compromises the well-being of countless Americans.
A confidential survey reveals concerns about employees’ ability to remain if major changes conflict with their professional values. While federal agency reforms under the Trump administration aren’t new, Kennedy’s controversial focus on health agencies has intensified scrutiny of the FDA. It is poised to remove the veil of corruption and corporate capture the federal health agency has operated under for a long time.
Kennedy’s first order of business, if confirmed, will focus on staffing HHS and other health agencies, removing fluoride—a known neurotoxin—from drinking water, and annihilating numerous departments within the FDA.
